Make a Difference Today
UNIKO RESEARCH wants to spread the University message of research and academic growth. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, UNIKO staff and students work tirelessly each day to contribute their part to the greater good.
Seminars and conferences are equally strategic to UNIKO's activities, and aim at providing researchers opportunities for broadening their scientific and intellectual horizons through exposures to critical knowledge generated through research. Such events are valued platforms for national/international meeting grounds for experts, scientists and researchers to keep pace with latest scientific discoveries and updates through presentations, transmission of new findings and information on wide-ranging research themes, involving participants in open discussions and dialogue, merging of interests, evolution of new ideas and spreading awareness. Seminars and conferences thus configure high on UNIKO's activity schedule, centered on diverse dimensions of research through presentations/lectures, addressing vital scientific and strategic concerns for researchers to advance their knowledge through requisite scientific exposures.
Reinforcing our Commitment
Research-related workshops figure high on UNIKO's activity sphere, providing opportunity for bringing together diverse expertise, institutions and researchers on a common platform to provide new information, share experiences, and encourage discussions on critical research matters, through presentations, lectures and orientation/training sessions. The purpose is to facilitate exposure, stimulate interaction/dialogue and promote awareness. RS's workshops precisely serve this purpose, creating an environment of direct communication with faculty members, researchers, external experts and participants. The workshops are organized on focused subjects/themes to present latest information, explore avenues for scientific exchange and knowledge sharing, with such events invariably transpiring new ideas and understandings, and merging of of interests for innovation or collaborative research.
Here at UNIKO, we’re committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our cause. Investing individually or institutionally in increasing human capacities is one of our strategic research goals.
Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport. It runs for seven years, from 2014 to 2020, with organisations invited to apply for funding each year for life-changing activities.

PROJECT EVALUTATION FORMS
RS has a set of forms for diverse evaluation needs of research projects. These include proposal evaluation, progress and final reports, and general facilities. The forms are exclusive, and specifically designed to accomplish requisite evaluation needs, based on standard criteria, to facilitate a project's rating in terms of its originality, scientific merit and implementability, or a report's rating in terms of a project's performance. The following evaluation forms are used to achieve each of these purposes:
• Research project evaluation form
A standard Form that is sent to referees for evaluating a project's originality, scientific merit, methodological implications in achieving the project's objectives and expected outputs. Various elements of evaluation are weighted and final rating is based on total score that a project attains. This procedure is a mandatory requirement for a project's approval, modification or rejection.
• Project Progress Report
All project progress reports received by RS are subjected to evaluation process, to determine whether the activities/objectives of a project earmarked for accomplishment within a year have been logically met, qualifying the project moving into its next implementation phase. This activity is accomplished through a specific Form for evaluating a project's annual progress report.
• Project Final Report
All project Final Reports undergo a standard Evaluation process, for ëhich a specific Form has been evolved. This process is a mandatory requirement to assess the project's overall performance in terms of its objectives, methodology, results and significance of findings for scientific advancement.
• General Facilities Project
The General Facilities Projects are meant to accomplishment the requirements of several projects through hi-tech labs, equipment and instruments acquired by faculties. The effectiveness of proposed General Facilities Projects in terms of infrastructural development, and intended utilization of these facilities in accomplishing the goals of advanced and high quality research, need to be ëeighed, determined and evaluated prior to approval of such projects. A special General Facilities Evaluation Form primarily aims at achieving this purpose of rating a General Facilities project's merits.
