“STRENGTHENING TEACHING COMPETENCES IN HIGHER EDUCATION IN NATURAL AND MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES” (TECOMP)- IS THE PROJECT IN THE FRAME OF WHICH A WORKSHOP WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF UNIVERSITIES REPRESENTATIVES FROM SERBIA AND ALBANIA ,WAS DEVELOPED AT "FAN S. NOLI" UNIVERSITY, KORÇA

On September 13-17, 2021, at the University "Fan S. Noli" was held a workshop focusing on teaching competencies, within the project "Strengthening Teaching Competences in Higher Education in Natural and Mathematical Sciences" TeComp (Forcimi i Kompetencave të mësimdhënies në Shkencat Natyrore dhe Matematikore në Arsimin e Lartë”).

The group of participating lecturers from Albanian and Serbian universities, initially held a meeting with the rector of UNIKO, prof. dr. Dhimitri Bello, the Deputy Rector for Research and Science, dr. Benita Stavre, the deputy rector for teaching dr. Arto Adili etc. During the conversation, emphasis was placed on the importance of increasing the quality of teaching in universities in the field of natural sciences and mathematics, integrating to a large extent the pedagogical methods, methodology and modern technology, which is the purpose of this project. The University of Korça, as part of this project will manage the work on standards and procedures of internal quality control, as well as the preparation and analysis of quality reports.

During the 5 days of training the participants addressed current topics and concrete cases related to teaching and learning methods, as well as the modernization of these two processes in European Higher Education; opportunities for international cooperation between universities through the Erasmus program; combined teaching (online and onsite); educational, scientific and technical cooperation between universities; assessment of student knowledge; preparation of teaching materials; creating interactive materials; teaching methods of mathematics and chemistry; cryptography; matlab etc.    

Part of this project are: University of Nis, University of Belgrade, University of Novi Sad and University of Kragujevac, Serbia, University of Gjirokastra and "Fan S. Noli" University, Albania; Ghent University, Belgium, University of Oviedo and University of Granada, Spain, University of Ostrava, Czech Republic and University of Banska Bistrica, Slovakia.
