FNHS ORGANIZED AN OPEN LECTURE “GENDER CHALLENGES: REPRESENTATION OF WOMEN IN POLITICS AND THEIR POLITICAL RECRUITMENT”: INVITED THE RESEARCHER, MRS. KOSTANCA DHIMA

On June 14, 2019, the Department of Social Sciences organized an open lecture on “Gender Challenges: Representation of Women in Politics and Their Political Recruitment”. As a guest speaker was the researcher and PhD Candidate Mrs. Kostanca Dhima. She presented to the students of the study program “Administration and Social Policies” some innovations of her studies on the challenges of political representation of women in countries such as USA, Canada and New Zealand.

The meeting was opened by the lecturer of political studies in the Department of Social Sciences of FNHS, PhD. Jordan Jorgji, who said that these open hours are intended to make students part of the discussions and debates on current challenges that concern science and society, such as global gender challenges in developed countries and in countries that face major problems of poverty and gender discrimination.

Researcher Kostanca Dhima thanked the colleagues for the invitation and shared with the audience the key aspects of her study, also answering questions from participants, who showed interest in the issues addressed. Dean of the FNHS, Prof. dr. Gjergji Pendavinji congratulated the department for organizing this open hour and praised the original study that Mrs. Dhima introduced to the students and lecturers. The participants were also greeted by the professor of the Department of Sociology at the University of Tirana, Prof. dr. Zyhdi Dervishi.
